As the proof dust jacket was not ready, most copies of the uncorrected proof were supplied without proof dust jackets (if you have a copy with a proof jacket please get in touch as we would like a photo for the site). Some copies contain a promotional letter supposedly written by Vivienne Michel (the fictitious author of the book). The text of the letter was written by Fleming and is identical to the blurb that appears on the front flap of the 1st edition dust jacket other than the PS which states "Richard Chopping has nearly finished another of his wonderful pictures for the book cover!"Price Guide
