General Notes

Part of the so called “Taiwanese Pirate” series of the Fleming titles. These unofficial copies “borrow” the content and text from UK and US publications (Pan, Cape, Viking, NAL). The dust jacket artwork is a curious mix of elements stolen from the original books and locally designed artwork. The exact date of publication is unknown as where books have publication dates they represent the books the content was copied from - 1965 is an approximate date for the series. Putting together a set of these pirate editions is not an easy task. They were cheap / disposable books in the first place and some of the dust jacket designs makes them difficult to tell apart from original books in adverts on ebay etc. If you have any books in this series not shown or variants of ones shown then please get in touch.

Editions and pricing variants found with this artwork

The dust jacket seems unique (an original design) but the contents are a straight copy of the UK Pan 12th printing 1963. There are at least 3 different Taiwanese pirate editions of Moonraker probably produced by different small printers.
